As part of lifelong interest-based education for citizens, Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra organizes adult and senior education within the University of the Third Age. The education is intended for applicants who are interested in expanding, deepening, and supplementing their knowledge or practical skills. The admission requirement is to reach the minimum age of 50 years and to have passed the school-leaving examination.

Organization of education at U3V
Teaching in the 1st year begins in October of the respective academic year. The exact date of enrollment and commencement of education will be announced by the university to applicants in the second half of September based on a valid application, which must be sent by August 30, 2026 to the address indicated in the application form. Payment instructions will be sent to applicants by mail to the address provided in the application form.
The fee for the entire academic year is €120, for pensioners and disabled persons €80. In case the applicant wishes to claim the discounted tuition fee as a disabled person, please also send a non-certified photocopy of the disabled person’s ID card with the application. Entrance exams are not held for individual U3V educational programs. The study plan and dates of individual lectures will be announced by the university to each student after admission to education. Education in a given educational program will be opened provided there is a sufficient number of applicants. The education lasts 1, 2, or 3 years, depending on the chosen educational program. Teaching takes place twice a month. Education concludes in accordance with the conditions defined in the description of individual educational programs. The university will issue a certificate to graduates.
