Research, artistic, and other creative activities are among the main activities of UKF. It is focused on obtaining original results aimed at the development of knowledge and also includes activities aimed at effectively linking scientific research with the educational process and supporting the professional growth of employees.
Scientific research activities are carried out primarily through the implementation of research, cultural-educational, and other projects. The main outputs of research, development, and other creative activities at the university are scientific and professional publications. The library information database serves for the registration of publication activities, which allows for effective searching and sorting of publication activities of university employees and doctoral students. The university organizes a series of significant scientific, artistic, and professional events annually, through which the presentation, promotion, and transfer of knowledge and achieved results from the implementation of scientific research projects are realized.
Areas of Research
The scientific research orientation of UKF covers a wide spectrum of natural, humanitarian, and social sciences in the field of basic and applied research, as well as in the area of innovation of didactic methods, forms, and content of study programs. Most Significant Research Teams
Research teams operate at the faculties of UKF, which, due to their focus, the results of their research activities, internationally accepted publication activities, as well as international cooperation, are among the most significant at the university. Within the project no. 08I01-20-V05-00002 Strategic Development of the UMB and UKF Consortium Infrastructure, our ambition within the consortium of two partner universities is to deepen cooperation in the field of scientific research activities, and thus contribute to closer cooperation between both universities. From this perspective, the concentration of human research capacities in compatible research areas for the purpose of joint project activities in the field of national projects, but especially international projects, is significant. Both universities have analyzed excellent research teams with a research focus in several fields of study in order to find overlaps in the research focus of individual teams and to expand cooperation between research teams and workplaces.
