Matriculation is an academic ceremony at which a student enrolled at the University of Constantine the Philosopher solemnly pledges to fulfill their study obligations and respect moral commitments to the university and faculty, so that their activities bring overall benefit.
The academic oath of the matriculated student is taken in the presence of the rector and the dean of the faculty to which the student has enrolled, using the academic insignia and the robes of the university’s academic officials.
The matriculation ceremony is usually associated with other student activities welcoming new students, members of the student part of the academic community, which are prepared by the Student Parliament.
