Further education programs, provided by Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra and its faculties within the framework of lifelong learning, enable individuals to obtain partial or full qualifications, or to supplement, renew, expand, and deepen qualifications acquired through formal education, or to satisfy interests and gain the ability to participate in civil society life.
Supplementary Pedagogical Study is intended for graduates of non-teaching degree programs who, through this study, gain pedagogical qualifications to teach subjects whose content builds upon their university studies, taking into account their completed state examinations.
Currently, the university has the largest number of educational programs, activities, and courses designed to develop the professional competencies of pedagogical and professional staff and healthcare workers through retraining programs, extension studies for pedagogical staff, and specialization studies and continuous education for healthcare workers.
The university offers the possibility to complete first or second attestation. Attestation serves to verify the acquired competencies defined by the professional standard of a pedagogical or professional employee, which they have gained through continuous education, self-education, and the performance of pedagogical or professional activities.
The university offers the possibility to take a state language exam for pedagogical and professional staff.
The university also provides adult and senior education for those interested in expanding, deepening, and supplementing their knowledge or practical skills within the framework of the University of the Third Age.
Nitra Summer University is a specific educational program through which children aged 8 to 11 are introduced to the academic environment, the nature of university studies, and selected interesting topics that are part of the diverse range of study programs offered by both universities in Nitra. Nitra Summer University is a joint project of UKF, Slovak University of Agriculture in Nitra, and the City of Nitra.
