All study requirements at the university are registered and administratively handled through the Academic Information System (AIS). It contains detailed information about the accredited study program to which the student has been admitted. The information about the study program includes:
- Graduate profile of the study program – knowledge, skills, and competencies that the student will acquire during their studies and employment opportunities after graduation.
- Recommended study plan – defines the temporal and content sequence of subjects and the forms of assessment of study results for the respective study program. Subjects in the program’s study plan are divided into compulsory, compulsory elective, and elective. It is designed so that by completing it, the student fulfills the conditions for successful completion of studies within the standard duration of study.
- Subject information sheet – contains mainly the subject name, subject code, subject credit value, workload, method of completion and conditions for obtaining a grade, recommended year and semester of study, learning outcomes, a brief outline of the subject, recommended literature, and the name of the lecturer.
Based on the information about the study program in AIS, the student creates a registration sheet for the relevant study period, in which they determine which part of the obligations prescribed by the study program they wish to complete. The student registers for subjects so that the number of credits they can obtain by successfully completing them is sufficient in the given period to meet the condition for continuing their studies. The student may re-register for a subject they have failed. After the second unsuccessful attempt to complete a subject, the student is expelled from the study program.
