Representatives of Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra welcomed a delegation from the Polish university Akademia im. Jakuba z Paradyża w Gorzowie Wielkopolskim (The Jacob of Paradies University) on October 19, 2026. The working meeting focused on opportunities for further collaboration in research and education.
More than a decade of collaboration
The rector of the partner university, Prof. Dr. hab. Elżbieta Skorupska-Raczyńska, and educators – Dr. hab. Magdalena Jaworska and Dr. Joanna Rutkowska were received by the Vice-Rector for Research, Prof. Michal Munk. Prof. Ján Zozuľak from the Department of Ethics and Aesthetics of the Faculty of Arts at UKF, who significantly contributes to the development of the partnership between the two institutions, also attended the meeting. The Vice-Rector took this opportunity to thank him for the previous collaboration.
The collaboration, which has lasted for more than a decade, includes lecture stays, visits of Polish colleagues to UKF, and organizing conferences. The current visit of the Polish educators took place within the Staff Mobility For Training program Erasmus+.

New opportunities in research and education
The representatives of the universities identified common research interests at the meeting and agreed to collaborate on the preparation and submission of international projects. They also expressed interest in expanding student mobility opportunities.
The broad professional focus of both institutions offers space for joint activities. The Polish partner university provides education in five faculties in the fields of technical sciences, computer science, philology, humanities, and health sciences. UKF presented its research background and scientific schools that have been developing for a long time across its five faculties.
One of the promising areas of cooperation is the connection between computer science and philology. Vice-Rector Michal Munk shared experiences from the collaboration between the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Computer Science and the Faculty of Arts at UKF. He cited the study program artificial intelligence and natural language processing as an example that connects these two fields of study.
The meeting confirmed the mutual interest in deepening the partnership and creating new opportunities for research and educational activities for academic staff and students.
