Erasmus Day: Experiences that Inspire

Students of the Faculty of Social Sciences and Health at UKF shared their experiences from international internships and inspired their peers to take advantage of opportunities offered by the Erasmus+ program.

On Wednesday, October 28, 2026, an event called Erasmus Day took place at the Faculty of Social Sciences and Health Care. Psychology, nursing, emergency health care, and social work students presented their experiences gained during short-term foreign internships within the Erasmus+ program to their classmates. The event was organized by the vice-dean for external relations and development of the faculty, PhDr. Katarína Minarovičová, PhD., univ. doc., in collaboration with the departmental coordinators of the Erasmus+ program.

The event built on the previous Erasmus Day meeting and continued the tradition of regular meetings organized by the faculty once a semester. Their goal is to support the internationalization of studies, bring students closer to opportunities for foreign mobility, and motivate them to take advantage of the Erasmus+ program.

The presentations offered a perspective on foreign stays from the participants’ viewpoints. Students shared positive experiences and highlighted the benefits of internships for their education and personal development. Their experiences emphasized the importance of international mobility as an opportunity to expand professional knowledge, get to know new environments, and establish contacts.

Erasmus Day created a space for sharing experiences across all study fields of the faculty. The personal experiences of the participants also provided inspiration for classmates who are still considering foreign mobility. The event thus presented the Erasmus+ program as an opportunity for professional growth, gaining new insights, and enriching student life.
