A security certificate is an electronic document that verifies the identity of communicating parties when communicating with information systems and when accessing the university’s wireless network. It also ensures the encryption of exchanged data and protects the user from the theft and misuse of their password.
The certificate is issued by the university’s certification authority, and for the purpose of tracking its authenticity and immutability, as well as for the user’s convenience (the need to approve dialog boxes warning about a secure connection), we recommend installing it on the communicating computer.
