Doctor honoris causa (Dr. h. c.) is an honorary academic title awarded by a university to exceptional individuals who have significantly contributed to the development of education, science, culture, or otherwise contributed to the spread of humanism, democracy, and understanding among nations, and whose significance has transcended the borders of Slovakia. This honorary title is awarded by the Scientific Council of UKF.
