The main priorities of Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra within the scope of international relations include the development and improvement of international cooperation with foreign universities through international bilateral agreements. The aim of this cooperation is primarily joint research and development activities, mutual exchange of students, teachers and researchers, as well as the organization of joint scientific events and the presentation of work results in the form of joint publications.
Students and staff interested in a scholarship stay abroad can take advantage of a wide range of mobility options within the European program ERASMUS+ or within other mobility programs coordinated by national or international agencies, or they can take the opportunity to travel for a short study and lecture visit based on the aforementioned international bilateral agreements of UKF.
Within the Erasmus+ program, the university has concluded bilateral agreements with 27 countries, including Belgium, Bulgaria, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Greece, Netherlands, Croatia, Iceland, Lithuania, Latvia, Macedonia, Hungary, Germany, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Austria, Romania, Slovenia, United Kingdom, Spain, Italy and Turkey.
Membership in international organizations provides UKF with the opportunity to become acquainted with the perspectives, opinions and experiences of other higher education institutions and allows for gaining valuable insights into the latest trends in higher education.
An important part of our university’s international cooperation is also the acceptance of experts from abroad – lecturers who teach theoretical-practical linguistic, literary and methodological disciplines, introduce our students to the cultural and socio-political specifics of their country, and significantly contribute to the internationalization of science, research and the educational process at our university.
